On 12 May 2026, Synergos gathered in New York for the David Rockefeller Bridging Leadership Awards, an evening that honoured environmental advocate Farwiza Farhan and business leader Peter Bakker. As a member of the Synergos board, Hosh was asked to close it.
He chose to speak about something quieter than the honours themselves: the pessimism that tells younger generations today’s problems are too entrenched for them to change. Hosh does not accept that. In its place he made the case for action without certainty, for the willingness to begin, build and take responsibility even when the outcome is not guaranteed.
It is a conviction that runs through his work with the next generation of African leaders: the future is not something to wait for, but something people start building now. The full address is on YouTube, and Synergos has published a recap of the evening.
